My property has a narrow gate between the house and detached garage - anything over 40 inches wide can't fit through. The R10 threads through it and does real digging on the other side. This is the machine that unlocked backyard projects.
The essentials all function - engine starts, hydraulics work, tracks turn. Fit and finish is clearly value-tier. Some plastic is cheap and paint is thin in spots. For the price it's acceptable.
Started a small landscape business last year and the R10 has been the missing piece. Trenches for irrigation lines, plants trees, moves boulders. Compact enough to work on any property without laying plywood.
The R10 does what a 1-ton compact should do. It's not refined and doesn't excel at anything except size. If tight access is your priority, this is a fair option. If not, buy bigger.
Full-time job during the week, side landscape and drainage work on weekends. The R10 has grown my side business into serious income. Right machine at the right price for growing operations.
